Ever wondered whether your email has been read or not when you didn't get a reply? Some mail clients provide a notification option for this, but usually the recipient gets a popup message which informs them about it. Spypig offers a solution. They have tiny images (even a transparent one) which you have to insert anywhere into your email, and they send a message to your address once the picture gets loaded ( = when the recipient opens the email). Cute.

It is really hard to create unique content for your website. Some webmasters don't even take the time to do this. They simply copy your articles and upload them as it would be their own work. Copyscape is an online tool that helps you find duplicate content of your pages. You simply enter the URL of your site and it does the search and lists the pages that possibly stole your content. The free version displays only one result and you can sign up to a paid membership to see all those filthy sites.

Print what you like is an ad removal tool for printing purposes. It's really annoying when you want to print a webpage but it is full of advertisements and huge images which you don't really need. So when the printed paper comes out you realize that 80% of the space on the paper was used up in vein and you wasted lots of ink when printing the ads as well. Okay. I never thought I would post this site. There was such a hype around it that it had the opposite effect and I disliked Groupon right before I knew it. But I got to know it better and I have to say it has some advantages in fact. The idea is that you can buy thing at discount prices if you buy them in groups. For example you could get some TV for $500 if you walked into a shop but if you get together with 9 friends of yours than you can get 10 of these TV's for $300 each. This is really cool and it can cut your costs if you use it wisely.

Zamzar is a handy tool to convert your files online. You do not need to download or install anything, you won't have to add annoying toolbars to your browsers, and no registration is needed. Simply upload the file and a few minutes later you can download it in the desired format. There is a wide range of formats available for converting: document types, images, music, video, ebook formats and more. You can convert files as large as 1GB. Don't search the google for other converter, this is the solution.

It is a tradition that developers hide easter eggs in their programs or movies and we are so proud and glad if we find any of them. Everyone knows the hidden moon-world of Excel 97. Just some more to mention:

Everyone has a fear of something. If this fear is unreal and has no reasons or it is greater than normal then we call it phobia. There are some popular phobias like arachnophobia or agoraphobia which we all know. But people's thoughts are much more diverse than that. There are people living with a fear of constipation (Coprastasophobia), a fear of knees (Genuphobia) ((how??? they don't have them?)) or a fear of clouds (Nephophobia). I'm sure you download movies from torrents. And you are afraid what happens when you get caught. Well, you shouldn't do this.
Hulu.com is a portal where you can watch movies online for free. Don't expect the top box office movies, but there are many great ones. One tiny little problem with them is that they are only available from within the United States... So if you are not that lucky, you either give up and cry, or use a USA proxy server which will be another bad bad thing and here you go again, you dirty little sinner. You can't live without guilt, shame on you.

Xkcd is a web-comic for... erm... nerds. Well, it not proper classification, it's a comic which is a bit more intellectual than the average. They update three times a week. If you are tired of garbage lol-blogs all over the web, you should definitely give it a try.

Oh, and there will be a high percentage of math, physics, etc jokes, so it fits the higher-educated public.
